Good morning from the @liebcellars tasting room! This is my painting “The Ripest Field” looking FRESH! 🙌😍 📸 @liebcellarsDon’t mind me over here...still just basking in how beautiful and fun my opening was this weekend 😍. I had such a wonderful time at the opening last night and I was so excited to meet several of you in person! So excited to have my solo show opening tonight @liebcellars from 6pm - 8pm! It’s going to be so much fun with @liebcellars delicious wine, @graceandgritevents amazing food, and beautiful live music by @juliakingmusic! Everyone is invited and I hope you all can come. Also happening tonight is a fabulous show at @williamrisgallery of @nofoartcollective artwork from 4pm-7pm! So excited to have several pieces in that show as well. So thrilled to have a wonderful night of wine and art!XoxoxoxoEarly access to my “Lost In The Garden” Collection is going to be available to my email list at 10am this morning! So to all of my friends, don’t forget to check your email (even the promotions tab)! I have put so much thought and love into this collection - I hope you can feel it. ♥️🤗....This painting is called “WHEN I AM AMONG TREES” and I have written on the back of the canvas a beautiful poem by Mary Oliver that I felt truly speaks to what I was trying to convey in this painting:....When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks, and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness.I would almost say that they save me, and daily.I am so distant from the hope of myself,in which I have goodness, and discernment, and never hurry through the world but walk slowly, and bow often. Around me the trees stir in their leavesand call out, “Stay awhile.”The light flows from their branches.And they call again, “It’s simple,”they say, “and you, too, have comeinto the world to do this, to go easy,to be filled with light, and to shine.✨~Mary Oliver ✨HELLOOO freshly framed beauties! 😍 I’m so happy with how these paintings on paper look framed! I love having artwork on paper “floated” when they are framed because that makes sure you can see all of the rough edges of the paper. I think the more you can see where the artist’s hand touched an original piece the more beautiful and interesting it is. Because after all, imperfections are what’s truly beautiful in life and in art. I can’t wait to see how they turned out. I kinda feel like a kid on Christmas morning whenever I see my art framed for the first time, except I paid for it...😂🙌🤩Getting sooo EXCITED for my show THIS SATURDAY 6-8 @liebcellars! I can’t wait to show everyone what I’ve been working so hard on this winter. I’m so excited and it’s really starting to come together ♥️! Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 16th from 6pm - 8pm! xoxoxWhenever I paint on canvas I always use stretched canvas that has a gallery wrapped edge, like the one in the photo. I prefer the gallery wrapped edge because I can either continue the painting around the edge or paint it a color that fits the painting. I love how it looks, but also it makes framing the painting an option instead of “a-must”. I think framing is so important and a gorgeous way to elevate any artwork, but it’s also expensive and a very personal choice, so I like to give my clients the option! xoI’ve decided to name my upcoming solo show at @liebcellars “Lost in the Garden”. Gardens have their own magic about them, a place where humans and nature come together as one and nurture each other through beauty and energy. So understandably it’s easy to get lost in their peace, sanctuary, and light. But for me I love a lush garden, where nature is barely contained but encouraged to flourish, not orderly but WILD. ✨🙌
