I saw something that said “Your kids don’t need the perfect mom, they need a happy one” that really hit me. Parenting and guilt come hand in hand, you’ll always feel like you’re failing at being the best for your child but the fact of the matter is you’re human, you have a life outside of parenthood and that includes stress, shitty situations and taking yourself too seriously because that’s what you do as a grown up. Although parenting feels like taking shots in the dark and hoping for the best lol, I’m choosing to be happier for this girl right here, she always brings me back to what’s important, what’s real and what truly matters. Im learning not to be the perfect mother but to be the mother who is present. She is something special and deserves to be treated like the beautiful human she is. I get this question all the time what do you eat when you want something sweet and don’t want to feel like you lost everything you worked for in a cookie craze or ice cream blackout! I’ve been making this yogurt bowl since I started my fitness journey and still making it till this day, it never fails to guiltlessly kill the sweet tooth. Made with berries, plain greek yogurt, granola (don’t OD on the granola lol) peanut butter, honey and cinnamon..literally takes less than 5 minutes to make. The best part is that it’s naturally sweetened (no refined sugar), you don’t even need the honey honestly. And it’s made with only 5-6 ingredients so it isn’t going to break the bank.
