• The day I visited this famous minimal glass house named Farnsworth House, built by Mies Van der Rohe (MVDR) in 1951 (Illionois - Architectural trip).
.
MVDR designed this chair named MR CHAISE (1927), one of his earliest steel furniture. The material choice was inspired by fellow Bauhaus Master Marc Breuer, while the forms are thought to be modern derivatives of 19th century iron rocking chairs.
.
MVDR is one of the greatest architect ever, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me, he’s also the architect of THE Pavillon de Barcelone. •
