I gave up my allotment last week, with some regret but also a feeling of relief. I’m actually looking forward to having a bit more time to get to grips with the garden as my time was split across the garden and allotment for the past two years. I still have four 6’ by 4’ raised beds for growing vegetables and there is plenty of space elsewhere as well. Yesterday I planted the garlic and all my @sarahravensgarden tulip collections, I’m really looking forward to my spring pots!

@dartmoorflowershed (1 day)@thebrightblooms but you can make that happen. You have magic fingers 💫💕
@thebrightblooms (1 day)@bad_kitty_corsets yes I definitely find that! I do enjoy growing from seed but I have now realised I need to scale back the quantities and look after a smaller number of plants 💕
@thebrightblooms (1 day)@theawenofpapillonnoir yes it’s very tough to give up my dream of a beautifully tended neat allotment but I know from experience it won’t be achievable with the time I have available. But the garden has been productive so I think it will be worth concentrating my efforts there
@thebrightblooms (1 day)@carolbagary thank you! These are from the garden, the cosmos in the back garden where this was taken has now finished although it’s still doing well in the front garden bed
