Happy Fatherโs Day to the most incredible and devoted dad that ever existed. I had a very difficult delivery and while I was in the hospital Chris almost singlehandedly took care of James. He changed all the diapers, did all the burping, swaddling, holding etc. He refused all offers of a break from the nurses, he watched their every move so he could learn and asked questions I would have never thought to ask. The nurses told me when I left 6 days later that he was one of the most involved dads theyโd ever seen. He helped me get in and out of bed, he helped change my bandages, he stayed on the other side of the curtain while I showered in case I wasnโt ok. The first week we were home he took all the baby shifts, he brought me my meds, food, and drinks. He did not complain once, or let on that he was probably beyond exhausted. Chris comes home from work and no matter how tired or busy he is he drops everything to be with James. If heโs running late he FaceTimes us to help read him a bedtime story. James and I are just the absolute luckiest to have him.
