Just a little summer doodle! π My new iPad Pro should be arriving next week and I'm super excited to start drawing on it π It'll be so great for me to no longer be confined to my desk when illustrating. I really hope it'll help with my repetitive stress injury too (see my "hello" post for more on that topic). Any recommendations for apps I absolutely should install on my iPad (other than Procreate) Doesn't have to be art related, I'm also open to suggestions on apps for productivity, entertainment, etc. It's my first Apple product so I'm all new to the world of iOS apps π

One of the books I've read during my "sabbatical" was Love x Style x Life by @garancedore. After reading Alexa Chung's It, and How to be Parisian (both of which I found a little disappointing), I admit I wasn't expecting much of this book. But oh how delightfully wrong I was. I actually LOVED this book! The illustrations, the hilarious stories, the layout, everything! This book isn't just pretty eye candy for your coffee table, it's a nice read too. What book(s) are you planning on reading this summer

Hello friends! Some of you might have been wondering where the hell I've been the past two months. Even though no one's forcing me to explain myself, I still feel like I owe you guys an explanation. The thing is, I've been struggling with the symptoms of repetitive strain injury for some years now. I have chronic tendinitis, which has already forced me to give up many things I love in order to keep the pain manageable. Making art is NOT something I'm willing to give up. I live to create, and if I couldn't do that I would be absolutely devastated. But two months ago I hit a particularly rough patch and I was forced to put down my tools and rest. If you're as passionate as I am about creating, this is not an easy feat. I tried a couple of times to draw before my body was healed, and I regretted it straight away. So I decided that on the days I wasn't working my parttime day job, I would rest. That meant doing things like reading books, watching TV shows and following online courses. I also finished some DIY projects I'd been putting off forever. It was actually kind of nice to take a break. But here we are, two months later, and I feel ready and eager to get back to it. I don't know yet what this will mean for my future career as an artist. But one thing is certain: I will never EVER stop creating. Thanks for sticking with me guys, I love you! Let's make the second half of 2017 even better than the first!
