Leaked details of Kanye West’s newest shoe release—the so-called Foam Runner—has drawn the attention of Twitter, which immediately dubbed them “Yeezy Crocs” and lampooned the sneaker for what some saw as a ridiculous design. While West himself has not confirmed the news, Yeezy Mafia, a blog that covers Adidas news, got ahold of what appears to be promotional photos of the Foam Runners from the latest issue of The Face magazine. The blog even noticed what appears to be a prototype of the “Yeezy Crocs” in a Forbes video interview (can be watched on our IGTV) with West from July. West’s shoe line still trails Michael Jordan’s sneaker empire in overall sales, but Yeezy is catching up. Jordan’s line does approximately $3 billion in annual sales, according to Forbes, while Yeezy is expected to top $1.5 billion in 2019.

It is not coincidental that injectable botulinum toxin treatments have increased by more than 800% since the year 2000. A new study suggests the boom in cosmetic surgery and procedures is fueled by age discrimination. The study, in the July issue of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, found that a significant proportion of cosmetic surgery patients reported they were undergoing anti-aging procedures due to age discrimination or fear of age discrimination. According to the study, the stress of experiencing and/or anticipating age-based discrimination and rejection increases risk for psychological distress and can cause physical health problems. About 36% of the participants who experienced age discrimination said it occurred in an interpersonal context when they felt excluded by friends, family and coworkers, were teased or mocked, or had negative assumptions made about them due to age. About 20% of participants experienced age discrimination in the workplace; they reported having been fired or denied a job or promotion due to age. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, men received about six percent of injectable wrinkle reducer procedures in 2017, a 347% increase since 2000.
