Coming soon: "Every Living Thing: Animals in Japanese Art" opens on 9/22. 🐯🐙🐾 Drawing heavily from our permanent collection, this exhibition celebrates one of the most distinctive and compelling aspects of Japanese art: the depiction of animals, which will be expressed in sculpture, painting, lacquer-work, ceramics, metalwork, cloisonné, and woodblock prints.
