I just finished installing this name plaque I made from a raw piece of sheet metal. I cut, bent, drilled, filed and painted it myself. (I'm learning.) It says "Nata'aska" which is the name of the Black Ogre in Hopi mythology (swipe left). He's my favorite kachina. He often carries a shepherds hook to grab unruly children and throw them into a basket on his back. He's also known to eat the really bad kids in one gulp with his huge mouth. And since nothing has scared me more than this motorcycle, I've always called it Nata'aska. Feels good to make it official. #DIY
I've been sitting on this @indianmotorcycle 1920 solo saddle for a few years and I love the seating position but it's been rather punishing on my tailbone. I've been considering upgrades and got really inspired by a saddle I saw on an old Harley in @roller_magazine (swipe left). So I picked up an @airhawkinternational adjustable seat cushion, cut and sewed a section of faux fur, then glued them together. It's dramatically more comfortable. I'll let you know how it ages.
@ian.lutz.tattoo just added an abstraction of the Rose Window at Norte Dame Cathedral in Paris to the back of my head, behind an Egyptian goddess I got in 2014 from @sekretcity. Ian also touched up the piece on my crown that he tattooed over two years ago (swipe left). I'm very happy with how it all came together.
