À L'intérieur(2007), also known by it's English title Inside, is a fast-paced French horror film about a psychopathic woman relentlessly tormenting a pregnant widow within her home. The main character Sarah suffers the loss of her husband after the two are involved in a car accident, all while she is pregnant with their child. After some time goes by, Sarah is home alone for Christmas Eve when a woman comes to the door asking to use the phone. After much refusal, the mystery woman reveals personal information about Sarah, including knowledge of her pregnancy and her husband's death. The police are alerted and the story unfolds rather quickly as the woman attempts to break into her home.
À L'intérieur has high levels of gore and it's pacing keeps you on the edge of your seat. Though I am quite new to French horror, I can say that this by far is my favorite. There aren't many things to nit pick over, but there are things I did not care for(I seriously could have done without the CGI baby. In the words of @theflesh76 "We get it. She's pregnant..") but it was not enough to make me dislike the movie. This caters to gore hounds and fans of elegant irony. This is a very dark story and the end will leave you broken. For fans of movies like Martyrs, I would definitely recommend this one.

After a professor opens a crypt, he unleashes a curse that reanimates the dead in the area. Visitors come to the area and stay in a mansion. They are then killed off by the reanimated corpses. The zombies display a high level of intelligence by using weapons to break into the mansion to collect their prey.
If there is only one reason to watch his movie it would be Peter fucking Bark playing the part of Michael. He is so bizarre and almost creepy, and has extreme mommy issues! With high levels of gore and sleaze, this movie is the epitome of, and most overlooked, Italian zombie films of the 80's. It's highly entertaining and will keep you enthralled throughout! There isn't a dull moment in Burial Ground.
This is now one of my favorite zombie films.

Last night @theflesh76 and I decided to watch The Void (we rented it from Amazon) , so I felt obligated to do a little review.
The story starts rather abruptly with a disturbing opening scene of a girl being dragged from a barn, shot, and set aflame by two men. The intentions of their kill are unknown and we are met directly with a change of scenery where we are introduced to our protagonist, a sheriff of the town where the aforementioned events took place. As he is driving down a dark road, he comes across a seemingly injured man crawling along the side of the road. The sheriff rushes the man to a nearby hospital and as we're introduced to the characters, the events begin to unfold as the sheriff, people inside the hospital, and the two men that opened the movie are trapped inside the building by mysterious and violent cloaked figures. It turns out the real dangers lie within the hospital itself, and the characters are forced to fight for their own survival.
Firstly, I had no idea what to expect of this movie. I had seen a trailer before and was intrigued, but I had no clue what was coming our way. We both really enjoyed the movie. We read complaints of plot holes and bad effects, but the movie really had neither. In fact, the effects were mostly practical and very reminiscent of some good old fashioned 80's horror-visceral, in your face, and covered with gallons of blood! The story itself is fast-paced and refuses to hold the viewers hand, leaving is to experience what The Void has in store for us all. It's a compelling story that refuses to let up on it's viewer and so far my favorite movie of the year.
I'd recommend this as a Friday night movie for any horror fan, especially fans of Silent Hill or even Inferno. It's a blast and it's one that we are getting for our collection, especially that sweet @diabolikdvd preorder!
I hope you all enjoyed my review. I plan to do more since I watch more movies that anything these days. If you have seen The Void, leave your thoughts below!

Meeting my biggest artistic influence Basil Gogos yesterday was a dream come true. I was overcome with so much emotion with such an unreal experience. #BasilGogos #Monsterpalooza
