Huge thank you to @fuelfoods for my amazing breakfast this morning. I can't get enough of these protein pancakes filled with peanut butter and jam. I could honestly eat these every day 😍😍 Sweet, savory, filling, amazing!
Lunch prep for the week! Salsa chicken topped with light feta cheese, @emilybitesblog crock pot kickin' chicken pasta and @skinnymom sweet and sour chicken. Veggies for the week are turnip, green beans and Brussels sprouts. Yum!
Determination. Looking at this picture of my back I was excited. It had been since my back injury that I had any muscle definition and hard work was *finally* paying off. It lit a fire in me to push harder, focus on strength and building muscle. It motivated me to never skip a workout no matter how tired I am. A bad workout is better than one you didn't show up for. Never give up no matter how slow the progress. Photo credit to @mellyboo. Thanks for reminding me of my potential 😉
I have started and stopped my weighloss journey countless times. I set myself up for failure every single time. Cut calories, remove food groups, create unreasonable food rules. Focusing on just being healthy has changed so much for me. Starting out with a hearty, filling breakfast that contains carbs, protein and fat keeps me full and satisfied all morning until my snack. It has also significantly decreased binging. My body is happy, satisfied and not constantly looking to make up for the things I'm depriving it of. Plus, it's delicious! ☺️ If you're struggling with your own journey, really reassess what you're eating. Make sure it's enough. Make sure you are really nourishing your body. Make sure you are not depriving yourself and setting yourself up for a set back. One small change at a time all adds up.
