The original owner of this car bought it in Canada in 1986. In 1988, she came to Los Angeles in pursuit of her career (I’ll share more about this in future episodes, follow the hashtag to stay in touch). Though she probably didn’t drive much of the historic #route66, the idea of chasing the sun certainly resonates with so many who come to the #bestcoast. And you know what Even a “failed” career is a successful life, if lived on the shores of #malibu. I can relate to this. The city of #losangeles has been so good to me. I’m in constant gratitude for the life I live.

Started the morning at the @petersenmuseum with @bringatrailer and @jaylenosgarage. Took the #68impala out but all my attention was on the classic euros. Next weekend is #bigsocaleuro in San Diego and I can’t wait. @speeedshop is finishing up the #190ecosworth, and the #bmw2002 will be unveiled with a new motor. My neighbor is bringing his pre-Audi #autounion and I might even be able to take this #barnfind #w114 my other neighbor want me to help him move. Oh, and last, but not least, I’ll find out if I won the auction on the #e30touring on #bat #euroclassic in full effect. So yeah... about the impala.

I’m not gonna keep this thing for long, but it’s quite the attention getter. Especially from those who really get it. All my Persian friends keep saying “oh yeah, my mom used to have that car!” To which I have to keep responding, “your mom may have had a 190e, but it wasn’t a 2.3-16 with the Cosworth engine and it certainly wasn’t the euro spec version! There is like 1000 of these left in the world!” I can’t wait to take it to some car shows.
